Karnataka TET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

All Interested applicants must fulfill all the prescribed eligibility norms/criteria before applying for the exam. Following are the details of Karnataka TET 2018 eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must be Indian citizen as only Indian citizen can apply for this exam.
  • Candidates must secure minimum 45% of marks total in their Senior Secondary or alike examination
  • Applicants must completed or appeared in the final examination of the 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education to get eligible for the exam.
  • Candidates those who have completed their 10+2 by securing minimum 50% of marks and appeared for or passed the four year B. El. Ed  (Bachelor of Elementary Education) or have qualified the 2 year Diploma in Special Education are also eligible to apply for the examination.
  • Candidates those who have appeared for the final year graduation exam are also eligible to apply for the examination.
  • Candidates those who belong to reserved category will also get the relaxation of 5% in their age.
  • In case any candidates who have done or appeared for the 4 year B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed or B.Sc.Ed/ B.A by securing minimum 50% of marks can apply for the Upper Primary Section i.e. from 6thclass to 8th
  • Candidates should hold a B. Ed Degree in order to appear for the TET.

Minimum age limit should be 18 years.

Admit card

Authority will release the admit card via online mode approx. 15 days before the beginning of the examination. Candidates also need to carry a hard copy of their admit card to the examination center.


Result for the Karnataka TET 2018 will be published only via online mode i.e. from the official website of the exam conducting authority. Applicants those who successfully appeared in the examination center will be able to check their results via online mode by entering their roll number.
