Every year, my favorite best holidays are the summer vacations. On May 14, my school closed for the summer vacation. For the community, I had previously prepared a program. So, after the school day ended, I packed my belongings and boarded the first available vehicle to Satna (M.P).
I arrived to my village’s home after one day and night. After a few days, the whole family decided to take a trip. Because my family and I reside in Mumbai, 2000 kilometers from my hometown, I wanted to spend a few pleasant moments with them (Satna).
Agra Tour
I spent many days in Agra. We would only go out in the morning and come home till lunch. As a result, we spent several days seeing the Taj Mahal and other beautiful locations. The ruins of this magnificent medieval city astounded me.
The Taj Mahal’s splendor drew me in at first glance. His beauty is hard to put into words. That beautiful white sapphire mausoleum reminded me of Shah Jahan’s everlasting love for his beloved Rani Mumtaz Mahal.
I was thinking about the old grandeur of Mughal rulers and Shani-Shaukat as I stood in front of the massive fort of Akbar and other ruins. In the mornings, I used to bathe in the holy water of the Akkad Yamuna. My stay in Agra was very enjoyable.
I didn’t have any job to do. I had taken some books with me even here, and I had not forgotten to study in the midst. I used to study for two hours a day and spend the rest of my time sightseeing around Agra.
Visit Grandfather’s Residence
By mid-June, I had to return to Mumbai since my mother wanted to spend some time with my father. My mother and I traveled to my Grandfather’s home on June 17th. My grandfather’s family resides in a hamlet near Satna, Madhya Pradesh. He is 70 years old, yet he has a breath-taking hook even at the age of one. They were overjoyed to see us arrive, and one of them took me in his arms and began to love me as if I were a little kid.
They brought up a lot of concerns regarding my father. My brothers and sisters (cousins) were overjoyed as soon as they learned of our arrival. They encircled me from all sides. Inside the home, we received a lot of embraces.
Stories
My grandfather’s side of the bed is where I sleep. Grandfather inquired about the school and the home, and told me Ramayana tales. Meanwhile, I used to tell people to stay away from the evil guys. Grandfather used to tell me tales from my youth. During the day, we both like going to the mango gardens, which are shaded by tall trees. When I was sleeping with my grandma, she would also tell me a tale about monsters and horrors to frighten me. My school was about to start, so I went back to my home alone, leaving my mother behind.
Holidays are coming to an end.
The month of July has arrived. My schools were set to start on July 8th. As a result, I became preoccupied with planning for the next year, disregarding all other considerations. After all, vacation was ended, and on July 8th, I returned to school with fresh books and copies. The Christmas memories were still vivid in my mind.
