CBSE UGC NET June 2018 Application Process- How to Apply: NET (National Eligibility Test) organized by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) on behalf of UGC (University Grants Commission) as an offline exam of UGC NET. It is organized twice in a year as in the month of January & July to determine the eligibility of Indian candidates for Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship or for both. CBSE UGC NET 2018 (July) Application Procedure

Application procedure for UGC NET 2018 will be start from 2nd week of April, 2018. After official notification for NET (National Eligibility Test) get released, then all the interested candidates might apply for the exam from the official website of the exam conducting authority. After the official notice we will also update an online application link on this webpage.

How to apply for CBSE UGC NET January 2018

  • Firstly all candidates need to access the official website of exam conducting authority i.e. CBSE NET.
  • Then candidates have to mention that they want to apply only for JRF or Assistant Professor or for both Assistant Professor and JRF.
  • All candidates are recommended to get ready with their scanned photograph and signature. Specification of the scanned photograph and signature is given below
    • Scanned photograph and signature should be in .JPG format only.
    • Photograph contain a file size between 4kb to 40kb only.
    • Photograph dimension must be 3.5 cm (width) and 4.5 cm (height).
    • Signature contain a file size between 4kb to 30kb only.
    • Signature dimension must be 3.5 cm (width) and 1.5 cm (height).
  • After that all candidates are required to fill all the mandatory details correctly in their applications.
  • Then candidates need to pay their application fee. Candidates can make the fee payment either via credit/debit card or by using e-challan.
  • At last all candidates need to take a hard-copy (printout) of the application form for further use.

CBSE UGC NET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must be a Master’s degree holder or alike by securing minimum 55% of marks (without rounding off) from any well-known university.
  • Candidates those who will qualify Master’s degree OR have already qualified OR the examination has been postponed OR whose results are still awaited (whichever may be the case) are also eligible to apply for this examination.
  • Candidates holding Ph.D. and have completed their Master’s degree by 19th of September, 1991 are eligible for 5% relaxation in the aggregate marks/score.

Application fee

  • Candidates need to Rs. 600/- as an application fee (for General category candidates).
  • Candidates need to Rs. 300/- as an application fee (for OBC category candidates only).
  • Candidates need to Rs. 150/- as an application fee (for SC/ST/PWD category candidates only).

Important Points

  • UGC NET 2018 is an eligibility test for the post of asst. professor in Indian Universities/colleges. It is also the qualifying exam for the award/ honor of Junior Research Fellowship.
  • Candidates can apply for CBSE UGC NET exam twice in a year as in January and July, month. Applications form for UGC NET January, session will be available from the 1st week of October, 2018 (Tentative) whereas application form for July session, will be available from 2nd week of April, 2018 (Tentative).
  • A relaxation of 5 years will be provided to the candidates who have research experience in the relevant subject of their PG degree. LLM degree holders will get 3 years relaxation.
  • Form Corrections will be available in some particulars after the submission of application. Corrections window will be open in 4th week of November, 2018 tentatively.
  • Candidates are also needed to bring any one Identity proof along with the admit card in the examination hall.
  • No provision for Negative Marking CBSE UGC NET 2018.
  • No age limit prescribed for the eligibility of assistant professor whereas maximum age limit is 28 years as on before 1st week of January, 2018 (Tentative) for Junior Research Fellowship.
  • Then candidates need to pay their application fee. Candidates can make the fee payment either via credit/debit card or by using e-challan.
  • Candidate must be master’s degree holder from any well-known institution to get eligible for UGC NET exam.
  • Candidates those who completed post-graduation in public administration can appear net exam for the political science subject.
