Hyderabad was the capital of Andhra Pradesh until the state was divided, and it is currently the capital of Telangana, a newly created state. The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad are divided by Hussain Sagar.

 

The population of Hyderabad city is believed to be about 8 million, making it India’s fourth biggest city, while the population of the metropolitan region is projected to be above 9 million. And its well-deserved reputation as one of the world’s safest cities. This city has an extremely low crime rate, and the streets are safe to stroll through at any time of day or night.

The hottest temperature ever recorded was 51.5° C (113.9° F) on June 2, 1966. The lowest temperature ever recorded was 1.1° C (43° F) on January 8, 1946. Because the city is high above sea level, it is also colder in the nights and mornings.
