VSAT 2018: VSAT (Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test) 2018 is a university level entrance test organized by the Vignan’s University. The main purpose of this exam is to provide admission to those aspirants those who are seeking for admission in B.Tech programme offered by the Vignan’s University and its associated/related campuses. For the year 2018, admission to B.Tech programme will be done totally on the basis of the performance of an aspirant in VSAT 2018, JEE Main and EAMCET entrance examination. This exam is conducted once in a year which is in the month of April. To get admission, aspirants need to qualify the Entrance Exam which is going to be held on last week of April 2018. VSAT 2018 Application Form

Application Form for VSAT 2018 has been available/accessible from 10th November 2017. And the Last date for filling and submitting of application form is 10th April 2018. Aspirants can get the application form through 3 modes:

Direct From the University:

  • Aspirants can get the application through post from the office of university after submitting a valid fee of Rs. 1000 through DD. Aspirants can also get an application from Vignan Colleges or Schools at Hyderabad, Vignan, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Eluru offices at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Guntur & Hyderabad.

Indian Bank Branches/Offices/ Outlets:

  • Aspirant can also get the applications form for VSAT 2018 from Indian Bank branches from the States of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

Download Application Form:

  • Aspirant can download the application form for VSAT 2018 from the official portal of the university and fill it. After filling the form, aspirants need to send a DD of Rs. 1000/- & filled application Form on the below given address. Aspirants have to write their address and name on the back side of the Demand Draft.

Note: DD Fee will needed to be submitted in favor of the “Vignan University” payable/owed at Guntur. Aspirants are also required to keep the hard-copy (printout) of the filled application form for further reference.

VSAT Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants who want to apply for VSAT 2018, need to fulfill all the below given eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates born on or after 1 July 1997 and a pass in Intermediate or its equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate marks are eligible to appear for the admission test.
  • Admission to B.Tech. programmes will be through Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test, V-SAT an online test, conducted by Vignan’s University on all India basis.
  • Candidates qualified in AP or TS EAMCET / JEE(Mains) / JEE(Advanced) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the +2 / Intermediate examination.

Rules of VSAT 2018 Entrance Exam

  • Candidates should report to the respective center 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the test. Live demonstration of online test will be arranged for the candidates before the commencement of the test.
  • Candidates must bring their hall ticket with them.
Note: Use of calculators, log tables, and slide ruler, watches with facilities of calculator, and cellular phones are strictly prohibited for the test. Candidates should not bring any material with them except the Hall Ticket, Pen, H.B. Pencil and Eraser.

VSAT 2018 Exam Pattern

VSAT 2018 entrance exam will be held in 2 slots.

  • Exam Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes).
  • Question Type: MCQ’s.
  • Question Medium/language: The question paper will be asked in English language.
  • Question paper Section: Question Paper will consist of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, English/Aptitude, Maths or Biology.
  • No. of Questions: There are 120 multiple choice questions will be asked.
  • Marking Scheme: on each and every right answer aspirants will be rewarded with 1 mark.
  • Negative Marking: No provision of Negative marking.

  • Aspirants those who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Aptitude/English section of VSAT exam, are eligible to take admission in all B.Tech Courses.
  • Those aspirants who attempt Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English/Aptitude section of VSAT exam, are only eligible to take admission in B.Tech Bioinformatics/Biomedical engineering/ Biotechnology/Food Technology Courses.

Streams for VSAT 2018

  • Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English/Aptitude in the V-SAT 2018 are eligible for all the B.Tech. programmes.
  • Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English/Aptitude in the V-SAT 2018 are eligible only for B.Tech. Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering & Food Technology Programmes.
Note: Candidates appearing for qualifying examination and awaiting results can also apply.

VSAT Admit Card 2018

Admit card for VSAT 2018 will be available through online or offline mode. Admit Card for VSAT 2018 is also posted through courier/speed post. Aspirant can also get the admit card through online mode before one week from the examination. Admit card contain many details such as Aspirant name, test centre, exam date, exam venue, aspirant roll no., signature, etc. Aspirant need to preserved their admit card for counselling and admission procedure.

VSAT Result 2018

Result for VSAT 2018 will be announced/published on the official portal of the university as on 1st of May 2018. The merit list will be prepared after the result announcement on the basis of the marks/performance in the entrance exam. On the bases of the merit list, the aspirant will be called for the counselling procedure.

VSAT Counselling 2018

After the result declaration, Counselling procedure for VSAT 2018 will be started from 10th-20th May 2018. At the time of counselling, aspirant need to take the required original documents that are mention below. Aspirant those who don’t take documents along with them are not allowed to attend the counselling procedure.

VSAT Admission 2018

Aspirant will get the admission into the university on the basis of the merit list. The merit position of the aspirant will be marked on the basis of rank acquired in the EAMCET, VSAT, or JEE Main entrance exams.

VSAT 2018 Admission Procedure

  • The admission will be on the basis of the performance in the VSAT/EAMCET/JEE-2018.
  • The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the RANK obtained in V-SAT /EAMCET/JEE-2018, provided if he/she gets minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria. Admissions will be purely on merit and by following the reservation policy applicable to Vigna’s University.
  • A common merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the entrance test and they will be called for the counseling to be held at the Vigna’s University premises at Vadlamudi, Guntur District through common ranking.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualification for admission. Having been appeared for the competitive examination or called for counseling does not necessarily mean acceptance of the eligibility/admission.
  • The admission offered to a candidate who has been provisionally admitted to a programme will stand canceled if he/she does not submit the relevant documents in original pertaining to admission (such as marks statements, transfer certificate, conduct certificateetc.) to the Dean-Admissions before the date stipulated in the admission offer.
  • Admissions to various programmes will, however, be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. In case any discrepancy is noticed even at a later point of time after admission, the management reserves the right to cancel the admission and such a decision shall be final and binding on the candidate.
