UPTET 2018 Application Form

Applicants can fill and submit their application form according to the guidelines given below:

  • The UPTET application form will be available on the official website of UPBEB which is ‘upbasiceduboard.gov.in’.
  • Aspirants will fill all the necessary details in the application form.
  • In the application form, there will be columns in which applicants will upload their scanned photograph and signature.
  • There will be examination fee of Rs. 400 also which applicants will pay thru the credit card, debit card or net banking.
  • The application for the applicants of the reserved category will be Rs. 200.
  • Applicants need to take the printout of the application form and save that for future reference.

UPTET 2018 Application Fee

Payment of fees is done after UPTET Registration. The fees has to be paid either online or offline. Online options include: SBI Internet Banking / Debit Cards / Credit Cards / internet banking facility of other banks. Offline payment can be made by taking print out of e-challan of SBI bank slip. The fees structure varies for candidates from different category. The list is mentioned below.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria 2018

Eligibility criteria have been divided into 2 categories. The details are as given below:

UPTET Eligibility Criteria for classes I-V (for Primary Level):

  • Applicants must have passed the senior secondary school examination with at least 50% marks.
  • They have completed their graduation from a recognized university.
  • Along with that, the aspirants must have completed the 2 years diploma in ‘T.C’, ‘N.C.T.E’ or ‘D.Ed.’ from a rehabilitation centre.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria for classes VI-VIII (for Upper Primary Level):

  • Applicants must have passed the senior secondary school examination with at least 50% marks.
  • Applicants having 2 years of B.T.C. from N.C.T.E. will be eligible for the TET 2018.
  • They must have passed 4 years degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), BA/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed from NCTE/ UG recognized Institute.
  • In order to retrieve the second copy of UPTET Eligibility Certificate, following documents have to be submitted by the applicants:
    • Class X mark-sheet
    • UPTET Admit Card
    • Caste Certificate
    • PH Certificate
    • Advertisement of lost Eligibility Certificate in Newspaper
    • FIR Copy of lost UPTET Eligibility Certificate

UPTET 2018 Exam pattern

UPTET exam is conducted via offline mode. Objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) were asked in the examination. There is no provision of negative marking in UPTET exam. Both the Papers have comprise of total 150 questions. Each question carries a weightage of 1 mark. Each question carries 4 options, out of which only 1 would be correct. UPTET Exam consists of 2 papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.

  • Paper 1 is held for the candidates who have applied for appointment of teacher for class 1 to class 5.
  • Paper 2 is held for the candidates who have applied for appointment of teacher for class 6 to class 8.

Candidates, who have applied for both the Papers, should apply for both paper 1 and paper 2. The level of questions vary according to the group, the candidate has applied for. The section wise division of each paper is given in the table below.

UPTET Selection Process 2018

  • Applicants will be selected based on written examination which will consist of Paper I & Paper II.
  • The paper-1 will be organized for the applicants who prefer to be selected for primary level (from class I-V).
  • The question paper-II will be for those applicants who choose to apply for the UP TET Eligibility Criteria for classes VI-VIII (Upper Primary Level).

UP TET Admit Card

  • Applicants will get the admit card after the successful submission of the application form.
  • The admit card will be available on the official website of the authority.
  • It will be necessary for all the aspirants to take admit card with them at the time of examination.

Procedure to Check UPTET

Applicants are required to follow the below steps in order to download the Admit Card:

  • Visit the official website of UPTET
  • Click on UPTET 2018 Admit Card link
  • Provide all the necessary details- UPTET Registration Number and Date of Birth
  • Click on Submit
  • UPTET Admit Card would appear on the screen
  • Take its print out

UPTET 2018 Result

The result for UPTET 2018 will be declared in the last week of February, 2018. However, official UPTET Answer Key will be released by the end of this year. The notification for the result will be published in the major newspapers of Uttar Pradesh. The result would be announced on the UPTET Website. Candidate can check their result by logging in with their roll number. The steps the check UPTET Result are:

Procedure to Check UPTET Result

  • firstly visit the official UPTET website:  upbasiceduboard.gov.in
  • Click on UPTET Result link.
  • Enter the UPTET roll number.
  • View the scores and save it for future use.

Candidates can get the copy of their UPTET OMR Sheet/Answer Sheet by paying fees through DD of Rs. 500/- per copy, drawn in favor of “Secretary, Examination Controller Officer” payable at Allahabad.

Candidates belonging to the general category who score 60% (90/150 marks) of the total marks would be considered qualified for the UPTET Recruitment while the required qualifying score for  reserved category candidates is 55% marks (82/150 marks). Candidates, who qualify UPTET, would be accorded UPTET eligibility certificate.

Uploading of Documents

Once the application fee is paid, a applicant is required to upload all the necessary / required documents online. These documents include the recent photograph, intermediate mark sheet and proof of eligibility.

Applicants those who are seeking reservation will have to upload the required set of certificates/ documents before the last date.  After the payment of UPTET Fees, complete the TET Online Form and mention the Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Transaction ID/Journal Number (provided by bank) and submit the UPTET Form

Printing of Application Form

After final submission, a computer generated registration and password would be shown on the screen. Use this registration number and password to login. Full application form will be displayed. Take the print out of the application form for future use.

Candidates applying for UPTET can apply for either PGT or TGT. If any candidate wishes to apply for both the posts, then separate UPTET Application Form has to be filled. Candidates failing to bring the mentioned ID card at the time of UPTET Exam will not be allowed to enter at the exam hall.

UPTET Eligibility Certificate

UPTET Eligibility Certificate is valid for 5 years. Eligibility Certificate can be taken from the district education board by providing a copy of UPTET Admit Card and Photo Identity Card. Those candidates who qualify in UPTET, and want to apply for the teaching post in schools of Uttar Pradesh, can apply by providing the eligibility certificate.

Candidates can acquire second copy of the UPTET Eligibility Certificate by paying fees of INR 300 through DD (Demand Draft) payable drawn in favor of “Secretary, Examination Controller Officer” payable at Allahabad.

In order to retrieve the second copy of UPTET Eligibility Certificate, following documents have to be submitted by the applicants:
