Kerala TET 2018 Notification 

Minimum qualifying marks is 60% which means those who clear the examination with 60% marks their name will be listed in Merit List. Did you know that there are total four level of Teacher Eligibility Test. Details information is given in below table.

  • Level I: For Lower Primary class
  • Level II: For upper primary classes
  • Level III: For high school
  • Level IV: For language teachers

Eligibility Criteria for Category I (Lower Primary)

  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and two year Trained Teachers’Certificate (TTC) conducted by Board of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent. OR the same exam with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  • Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR the same exam with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • As per the norms or as desired by the Govt. of Kerala the relaxation will be given to different categories.
  • Relaxation of 3% in qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC applicants.
  • Relaxation  of  5%  in  qualifying  marks  is  admissible  for applicants  belonging  to SC/ST and Differently abled categories.

Eligibility Criteria for Category II (Upper Primary)

  • A/ B.Sc./ B.Com.  and  2year Diploma in  Elementary  Education/Trained Teachers’  Certificate  (TTC)  conducted  by  Board  of Examination, Govt. of Kerala or its equivalent. OR
  • A/B.Sc/ B.Com with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed or B.Sc.Ed or the same exam with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
  • Relaxation of 3% in the minimum qualifying marks is admissible for OBC & OEC applicants.
  • Relaxation  up  to  5%  in  the  qualifying  marks  shall  be  allowed  to  the  applicants belonging  to  SC/ST  and  Differently  abled categories.

Eligibility Criteria for Category III (High School)

  • Those who possess minimum educational qualifications as delineated here under are eligible to appear for K-TET III.
  • The test is for HSAs in: Tamil, Kannada, Arabic, Urdu, Social Science, Physical Science, Malayalam, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Natural Science and Mathematics.
  • BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45% marks and a B.Ed.  Degree in the subject concerned (from any one of the Universities in Kerala or from any other Universities recognized as equivalent thereto.)
  • For Botany and Zoology subjects, those with MSc.Ed. Degree  in  Life Science  from any of  the  Regional Institutes  of  Education with  not  less  than 50%  marks are eligible to apply.
  • For Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology,  those  who  have MSc.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned from one of the Regional Institutes of Education sponsored by NCERT with not less than 50% marks will be eligible to apply.

  • Then after visiting the homepage of Kerala pareeksha.
  • Click on the tab Kerala TET 2018 and fill registration form.
  • Uploads photographs and signature jpg file as per given format.
  • All information must be correct and genuine otherwise application form will be rejected.

Admit Card Kerala TET 2018 Exam:

  • Kerala TET Hall Ticket will issued at http://kerelapareekshabhavan.in
  • Applicants can download E-Admit card through given credentials.
  • E-Admit Card carry all mandatory information regarding Kerala TET Exam.
  • Admit card will be issued in the mid of October 2018.

Answer key Kerala TET 2018 Exam:

  • Answer key will be published in the month of December 2018
  • Applicants can download the answer key in pdf format.
  • Kerala TET 2018 Answer key will be issued by the concern authority.
  • Applicants can file objection regarding the answer key as per given format.

Result

  • A person who scores 60% or more in the Kerala TET 2018 exam will be considered as TET pass.
  • School managements may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
  • Should give weightage to the TET scores in the recruitment process
  • However, qualifying the TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
