JEE Advanced Registration 2018 for foreign nationals only has been started from 18th April 2018. JEE Advanced is one of the most awaited examinations for engineering applicants in India. It paves the way for students to get into India’s premier institutes like IIT’s and ISM. In 2018, JEE Advanced will be conducted under the supervision of IIT Madras. The date announced for the JEE Advanced 2018 is 20th May 2018. JEE Advanced comprises of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Appearing for both the papers is mandatory and both the papers will be conducted on the same day.

  • IIT JEE Advanced Registration 2018 will be done through online
  • The online registration process will start from 2nd May 2018.
  • The last date to register online will be 7th May 2018.
  • At the time of registration, applicants have to fill personal details such as name, mother’s name, father’s name, JEE Main roll number, Password (generated at the time registration) and some other details.
  • Before applying, applicants must keep ready the scanned imagesof the signature, left hand thumb impression and photograph in the specified format.
  • At last, don’t forget to keep the printout of the completed application form for future references.
  • There is no need to send the printed application to the CBSE board.

JEE Advanced Registration 2018 Process

  • Applicants need to login on the official site of JEE Advanced 2018 i.e. jeeadv.ac.in.
  • After logging in, applicants need to fill the basic details like choice of the language (English or Hindi), priority of cities for examination etc.
  • Applicants have to upload the scanned copy of the required documents on the portal.
  • Once the registration has been done for JEE Advanced 2018, it cannot be withdrawn. Please note that registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • In case of any discrepancy is found in applicants basic details or if applicant does not meet the specified eligibility criteria, then the registration of JEE Advanced 2018 will stand cancelled.

After the application form is filled the applicants will be redirected to the payment page. An acknowledgement page will be displayed after the authorization of payment from the bank. The applicants must keep a copy of this acknowledgement slip for further reference purpose, if needed.

Ques. I have Class XII pass certificate and the marks statement as a separate document. Which document should I upload during the JEE (Advanced) 2018 Application Form?

Ans. You need to upload your Class XII marks statement.

Ques. I am appearing for Class XII examination in 2018. Will I be able to register for JEE (Advanced) 2018 without uploading Class XII certificate?

Ans. Yes, you can register for JEE Advanced 2018 if you are appearing your Class 12 examination in 2018. You do not have to submit your class 12 mark sheet or any certificate regarding the qualification examination.

Ques. Will the question paper of JEE Advanced 2018 be in both Hindi and in English Language?

Ans. No, the question paper will be either in English or Hindi. You have to select the question paper language during JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form fill-up.

Ques. Are Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. Only the foreign applicants under these two categories. You need to go through JEE Advanced 2018 Eligibility Criteria for more details on PIO and OCI card holders.

Ques. I am appearing in class XII exam first time in 2018. If I do not write JEE (ADV) 2018, am I eligible for JEE(ADV) in 2019 and 2020?

Ans. As per the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2018 you can appear in the exam in two consecutive days. Therefore if you are appearing for Class XII in 2018 then you can appear for the JEE Advanced in 2018 and 2019 but you will not be eligible to appear in 2020.

Ques. I have accepted a seat through JoSAA 2017. Can I appear for JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. If you have already submitted a seat in IITs through JoSAA then you are not eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2018.

Queries regarding JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form

Ques. Is writing Paper -1 and Paper- 2 compulsories in JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. Yes, you have to appear for both the papers to qualify in JEE Advanced 2018. If you are absent in one of the papers then you will consider as absent for JEE Advanced 2018 examination.

Ques. What is my Login ID to fill JEE Advanced Application form?

Ans. The login ID will be your JEE Main 2018 Roll Number. The password will be same as entered in JEE Main 2018 Application Form.

Ques. Is it compulsory to enter my mobile number in the Application Form of JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. Yes, it is necessary to enter at least one valid mobile number during the application form to receive all the important notifications on JEE Advanced 2018.

Ques. How many mobile number are required in the JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form?

Ans. You have to provide at least two mobile numbers in the application form.

Ques. In which stage of the JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form i have to upload my documents certificates?

Ans. In Step 2 of the application form you need to upload the documents certificates.

Ques.  In which step the Payment option is available for payment of Application Fees?

Ans. In Step 3 of the Application Form you will need to pay the application fees. The application fees can be paid through Online Net Banking Credit Debit Card through Challan payment method by Cash in SBI branch. All the applicants applying for the exam in Dubai have to make their payment by using the international debit credit card issued by Foreign Bank outside India.

Ques. During JEE Main registration 2018 I have declared my category wrongly. Can I correct it during JEE Advanced registration 2018?

Ans. No, you cannot change your category during JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form fill up. So, it is important to select your category carefully at the time of JEE Main 2018 Application Form fill up.

Ques. Can I use the credit card to pay the JEE Advanced Registration 2018 Fee?

Ans. The Application Fees for JEE Advanced 2018 can be paid through SBI Debit card Net Banking and SBI Cash SBI Challan only. No Credit Card payment will be accepted.

Ques. Can I fill in the registration form for JEE Advanced 2018 on the last date?

Ans. It is always advised from the conducting body to submit the application form earlier as server problem persists during the last date of application form and also the confirmation from the banks comes only once in a day. So it is always advisable to submit the form as early as possible to avoid any further problems.

Ques. Up to which step of the application form can I pay the registration fee without late fee for JEE Advanced Registration 2018?

Ans.  If you complete your step 2 by 2nd May 2018, then you can pay the normal fee. But if you complete the step 2 on May, then you have to pay an additional amount of Rs. 500.

Queries regarding JEE Advanced 2018 Reservation of Seats

Ques. I belong to OBC (NCL ) Category. How can i apply under this category and what is the reservation criteria for OBC (NCL) category in JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans.  If your parent’s income falls in Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) you can apply under OBC Category during JEE Main 2018 Application Form with a valid OBC (NCL) issued by Government of India. You can apply during the JEE Main 2018 Application Form which will end on January, 2018.

Note: If you do not have a valid NCL Certification and you have applied for JEE Main 2018 your category will be considered under the general category.

Ques. I have declared my category as OBC-NCL during JEE Main 2018 registration. I do not have a valid NCL certification. Can I upload a certificate issued prior to April 1, 2018?

Ans. No, only a valid OBC-NCL certificate as per the prescribed format issued on or after 1st April-2018 should be uploaded for getting the benefits of OBC-NCL category.

Ques. In case I am not able to obtain the OBC (NCL) certificate at the time of registration of JEE Main 2018. What should I do?

Ans. If in case, you are not able to obtain the OBC (NCL) certificate in the month of April 2018, you can upload a self-declaration saying that you will do so by June, 2018 (that is, after about one more month from April, 2018). You cannot submit the certificate at the time of admission because your JEE Main 2018 Result will be calculated under the general category if you do not provide any clarification about it to the conducting body at the time of registration.

Ques. I am from defence service personnel background. Is there any reservation for Defence Category?

Ans. Not all defence service personnel’ children are eligible for DS category seats. DS category seats are earmarked for children of defence paramilitary personnel killed or permanently disabled in action during war or peacetime operations. The Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.

Ques. What is ORS for JEE Advanced 2018? Can i make modifications in the Answers bubbled in Optical Response Sheet (ORS)?

Ans. The answer sheet of each paper of JEE Advanced 2018 is a machine readable called Optical Response Sheet (ORS). The ORS has two pages with the same layout. The first page of the ORS is machine readable. It is designed so as to leave impressions of the responses on the second page. Applicants should not separate or disturb the alignment of the two pages of the ORS at any stage and under any circumstance.The answers will have to be marked using Black Point Pen. Ques. What is time to reach the examination centre to appear in JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. The date and time for the exam will be mentioned in the admit card of JEE advanced 2018 and also other important instructions about the examination will be given for all those who have applied for JEE Advanced 2018. It is always recommended to reach the examination centre in well advance. It is best to make yourself familiar with the examination centre one day before the examination to avoid difficulties in communication.

Ques. Am I required to provide fingerprints to appear in JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. Yes, the fingerprint is required during the pre-exam procedure which is done before entering in the examination by taking the fingerprint of the index finger. The same fingerprint is required for the for seat acceptance at the time of admission.

Ques. Is there any dress code for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018?

Ans. If you are appearing for JEE Advanced 2018 it is recommended not to wear any unnecessary things such as chains, ear- rings, bangles or any modern watch. A simple Analogue Watch is acceptable so that you can complete your question paper on time.

Ques. If I am absent for one of the papers. Will I get the Result of JEE Advanced 2018 examination?

Ans. No, you will be declared as absent from the examination and you will be disqualified for admission in IITs across India in 2018.
