Age Limit for Indian Ordnance Factories OFRC 2017:
applicants must be having age between 18 years to 32 years as on or before the last date for submission of online application. Upper Age Relaxations will be provided as per Government order, norms and rules.
Pay Scale for Level 1 Entry Pay (EP) is ₹ 18000/- plus allowances as admissible/acceptable to Central Govt. Employees.
NAC/NTC (ITI) + Matriculation issued by NCVT in the applicable trade.
OMR based Examination.
₹ 50/- for General and OBC category Applicants. Fee exemption will be applicable to applicants of different categories as per Government norms/rules and regulation.
How to Apply for Indian Ordnance Factories OFRC 2017:
All the eligible Interested ITI Applicants can Apply Online via OFB e-Portal. All the applicants including Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories are required to apply only via online mode. OFRC short advertisement published in Employment News Paper dated 27th of May to 2nd of June, 2017 Issue.
OFRC, Nagpur invites/published online applications from Indian citizens for engagement of 55th Batch (for ITI and Non-ITI applicants) of Trade Apprentices under the “Apprentices Act 1961” in Ordnance and Ordnance Equipment Factories located in different States all over India. Total number of vacancies is 6948 approximately, the highest ever as part of OFB’s Skill India Mission. Last date for submission of online applications is 10th February, 2017.

Age Limit: applicants must be having age between 14 years to 22 years as on or before the last date of submission of online application.
Age Relaxation will be provided to the applicants as per the different category:
- For SC/ST category applicant 5 years of age relaxation will be provided.
- For OBC category applicant 3 years of age relaxation will be provided.
- For Physically Handicapped (PH) / Physically Challenged (PC) applicant 10 years of age relaxation will be provided.
For ITI Category:
Applicant Should passed ITI trade test from any institute known by NCVT (SCVT or any other authority specified via Gazette Notification of Ministry of Skill Development and Ministry/Entrepreneurship of Labour & Employment, with duration as per the Apprentice Act, 1961) and should hold the qualification as on or before the last date of submission of online application.
For Non-ITI Category:
Madhyamik completed (Matric standard or 10th Class or equivalent) by securing minimum 40% of marks in aggregate along with 40% of marks in each of mathematics & Science.
Application Fee for Indian Ordnance Factories OFRC 2017:
There is no fee for any applicant.
Scheme of Examination:
The written examination will be as follows:-
For ITI Applicants:
Written Test (1 paper comprising of 2 parts with a duration of 3 hours, question paper contain total 150 questions)
For Non-ITI Applicants:
Written Test (1 Paper with a duration of 3 hours, question paper contain total 150 questions) consisting questions from subjects like General Knowledge, English, Reasoning/Aptitude and Mathematics, as per Madhyamik (Class: 10th Standard or alike exam).
PART – A: contain questions from the subjects such as General Knowledge, English, Aptitude/Reasoning and Mathematics approx. by securing minimum 40% of marks out of total number of questions.
PART – B: Questions on the group of subject trades – approx. 60% out of total number of questions.
Medium of Examination:
3 Languages formula: The applicant can choose English or Hindi or language of the state in which ordnance factory chosen by the applicant is located (Bengali/ Marathi/ Oriya/ Tamil/ Telugu).
Centre of Examination:
Centre will be allotted w.r.t. location of the ordnance factory and medium of examination chosen by the applicant in one of the 12 centres viz. Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jabalpur Kolkata, Kanpur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Trichy.

Eligible Interested Applicants are required to Apply Online through OFB Website. Detailed advertisement will be available in OFB Official Website under ‘News Update’. This Recruitment advertisement was published in Employment News Paper 14th to 20th January 2017 Issue. Online registration will be starts from 20th January, 2017 and closing date for submission of online application is 10th February, 2017.
Applicants who have already applied through the Government Of India portal, www.apprenticeship.gov.in are required to re-apply for issue of Admit Card for written examination through OFB Site.
