HTET Exam Pattern 2018: Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH) will announce the exam pattern for HTET 2018 exam in the official notification. All the teaching aspirants willing to apply for the exam should know the detailed HTET exam pattern 2018 as it will be benefit in their preparation. According to the paper pattern of previous HTET exam, there are 3 levels of examination, level 1,level 2 and level 3. The level/paper 1 of HTET 2018 will be for applicants willing to teach pupils in class 1-5, level/paper 2 for class 6-8 and paper 3 for class 9-12. The HTET 2018 exam pattern will help the applicants to have a deep insight about the question paper and exam in general. HTET Exam Pattern 2018 – Overview of Exam

  • Number of Levels/Paper – Paper 1, paper 2 and paper 3
  • Mode of Exam: The HTET 2018 will be held in two modes, i.e. computer based and the conventional pen and paper mode. Applicants will have a choice to appear for any mode of exam as per their level of comfort.
  • Time Allotted: All the applicants appearing for the exam will be given a total 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) to finish the whole paper. Applicants should make it a point to reach the exam centre early as extra time will not be given to the applicants under any circumstances.
  • Nature of Exam: As per the HTET exam pattern, all the papers will be of objective nature. Applicants will be required to attempt Multiple choice (MCQ’s) with 4 choices as answers and they will have to pick the right one.
  • Number of Questions & Total Marks: Each Paper of HTET 2018 will have 150 questions for 1 mark each. The total marks for grading HTET 2018 will be 150.

HTET Exam Pattern 2018 – Nature And Standard Of Questions

  • The section of Child Development and Pedagogy will test the applicant’s knowledge on educational psychology of applicants relevant to the age group as per the paper choice of applicants.
  • Paper 1 (6-11 years), Paper 2 (11-14 years) and Paper 3 (14-17 years).
  • More focus will be given to understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
  • Language 1 will test the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction, whereas Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities.
  • Last two sections i.e. Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects.
  • The topics of knowledge will be distributed equally amongst the 5 subjects of HTET 2018 paper 1.
  • The HTET 2018 paper 1 will be based on the general syllabus as per the age group and class but the difficulty level could be linked to higher level for better understanding.

HTET Exam Pattern – Qualifying Marks

BSEH will decide the minimum qualifying marks for the applicants appearing in HTET 2018. All the applicants should know the minimum qualifying marks according to their category. Those applicants who secure the required qualifying marks will be declared qualified in the exam and issued a TET eligibility certificate.
