Minimum qualifying marks for passing TET: To qualify in TET Examination the applicant must score at least 60% marks in both the papers (Paper I- common to all, Paper-II-with option A,B&C) in case of general category applicants and minimum 55% marks (in both the papers) in case of SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PH Category Applicants.

Notwithstanding the minimum prescribed marks secured in TET, the number of applicants declared as ”TET QUALIFIED” would be a maximum of double the number of vacancies of Teachers and such applicants will be determined as per merit position. Please note that a applicant has to score Qualifying marks in each of the two papers (Paper I & Paper II) to become TET qualified.

Certificate Validity:

All applicants who pass the TET will be awarded a certificate. The validity of the certificate shall be for a maximum period of 2(two) years from the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, Government of Assam subject to the condition that the applicant otherwise fulfills the eligibility criteria prescribed for recruitment to the services in Government of Assam. Further it must be noted that, those applicants who qualify TET as per this advertisement and were not above 38 years of age as on 01-1-2013 but might cross the upper age limit in the interim period of validity of maximum 2(two) years shall be allowed to appear at any post graduate teacher recruitment interview that may be conducted by the Government of Assam within the period of 2(two) years validity.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Any Indian National who obtained Master Degree or equivalent Degree with atleast 55% marks (without rounding up) is eligible to sit in the SET.
  • Schedules Cast (SC) /Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Disability (PWD) category applicants who have secured atleast 50% marks (without rounding up) in Master Degree or equivalent Examination are eligible for the test
  • Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing at the final (or 4th Semester) of their Master Degree Examination and whose result is still awaited or applicants whose qualifying examination has been delayed, may also apply and appear for this Test

Age Limit – There is no age limit.

Application Procedure

Step – 1: Please Read the Instructions carefully before filling up the Online Application form.

Instructions

  • Applicant seeking admission to the test must apply online.
  • Before applying online, applicants should keep the scan copy of his/her certificates, passport sized coloured photograph and signature ready.
  • Scanned copy of M.A./ M.Sc./M.Com. certificate and Marksheet should be uploaded only along with the photograph and signature.
  • Scanned copy of SC/ST/OBC* along with noncreamy layer certificate / PWD category certificate, if applicable, from authorized person should be uploaded.
  • The size of each of the scanned photo & signature should be within the range of 5 to 50kb and properly cropped.
  • Before submitting the form, applicants will get a chance to modify his/her application detail. But after the final submission of application, applicants will not be able to edit the application.
  • Once submitted, portal will generate a unique Application ID. The applicants are required to note down carefully the unique Application ID for all future references including Admit Card Downloaded.
  • Once an applicant completes the application submission process, the applicant can print the Acknowledgement Slip for future reference.
  • Once submitted, application will generate the bank Challan for fee payment. Applicant should download the challans and print it. (Applicant should visit the SBI bank branch carrying the challans for fee payment one day after application submission)
  • Applicant claiming fee concession without attested valid SC/ST/OBC (Noncreamy) PWD certificate will summarily be rejected.
  • Persons authorized to issue the above OBC (Non-creamy)/Sc/ST/PWD certificates – Deputy – Commissioner, Addl. D.C., Revenue officer not below the rank of Tahsildar, any organization authorized by the Govt.
  • Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in their Final or 4th Semester Mater Degree examination should download the Attestation format from the link given in the homepage of the site. Applicant should fill-up the form and the same should be forwarded by the Head of the concerned department and upload the scan copy of it in the site.

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will have only objective type questions of the following forms:

Assam SLET 2019 – Eligibility

  • Candidates must be holding the Master Degree or equivalent Degree with at least 55% marks (without rounding up).
  • For reserved category candidates (SC) /Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Disability (PWD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding up) in Master Degree or equivalent Exam.
  • Final (or 4th Semester) candidates of their Master Degree Examination are also eligible.
  • Candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of pass certificate only after they have passed the Master’s Degree.
  • Candidates must obtain the Master Degree within two years from the date of the concerned SET result with required percentage of marks failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.
  • Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only.
  • The Candidates whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects then may appear in a related subject.
  • There is no upper age limit.

The Test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will have only objective type questions of the following forms:

TNPSC CCSE 4 2018: TNPSC has decided to merge the selection of Group 4, VAO vacancies by TNPSC CCSE 4 exam. The TNPSC has decided to incorporate the written exam that is held separately for VAO & Gr-4 as Combined Civil Services Examination -4 (TNPSC CCSE 4). The TNPSC CCSE 4 notification will be released in the month of February 2018.

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission going to contact CCSE 4 exam instead of Group 4 and VAO Exams. So far TNPSC has conducted Group 4 and VAO selections separately. But from this year TNPSC has decided to Contact two exams together. The two exams are going to be one, the number of vacancies will be increased.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – The seat allotment result of JEE Main counselling 2018 conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be declared in the month of July, 2018. JEE Main Counselling 2018 Registration

The online registration for JEE Main counselling has started from June 15, 2018, onwards. Applicants have to undertake the following steps to successfully register for JEE Main counselling 2018:

  • Click on the link  provided above on this page
  • On the login page, enter JEE Main 2018 roll number and password
  • Enter the security pin as shown on the screen
  • After successful login, enter all the required details
  • Verify all the details entered on the registration page and then click on ‘Confirm registration’ button

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Choice Filling

Applicants have to fill in their choices of institutes and programmes in order of preference. While filling in their choices, applicants must keep the following points in mind:

  • Applicants must carefully prioritise the courses while filling in their choices as for applicants who are eligible for participating in counselling based on JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 (B.E. / B.Tech.) and Paper-2 (B.Arch. / B.Planning) will be allocated only one seat
  • Applicants are not required paying any fee and they can fill as many choices as possible
  • After mock seat allocation, applicants must ‘lock’ their choices. In case, the choices are not locked, it will be automatically be locked in the last minute of the last date of choice filling
  • After the last date, no applicant will be able to change their choices

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Freeze, Float and Slide Options

Applicants can opt to freeze, float or slide their choice for subsequent rounds while accepting a seat. Details are as follows:

  • Freeze: Applicants accepting the allotted seats and do not want to participate in further rounds of JEE Main counselling. Such applicants will not be considered for subsequent rounds of admission
  • Float: Applicants accepting the seat allotted by JoSAA but also wants to apply for a better/higher preference in the subsequent rounds of counselling. Such applicants can participate in the further admission process.
  • Slide: Applicants who have accepted the allotted seat but seeking admission to a higher preferable programme within the Institute. Such applicants will be considered for further admission process.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 Rounds

JoSAA will conduct the counselling of JEE Main 2018 in seven rounds. After each round, the seat allocation result will be published and applicants have to report to the reporting centre for document verification and acceptance/withdrawal of seats. Details on round wise JEE Main counselling 2018 is as given below:

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 1

  • Based on JEE Main rank and preference of choices filled in by the applicants, the first round of seat allocation result was displayed by JoSAA on June, 2018. Applicants who have been allocated seats in JEE Main counselling round 1 have to download ‘provisional seat allotment letter’ and report in person at the reporting centre, accept the seats by paying the seat acceptance fee. Applicants will also require to verify all the requisite documents and get the seat confirmed.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 2

  • After the completion of the 1st round of seat allotment process, JoSAA will display the total number of seats filled and availability status in July at 10:00 am. The seat allocation result will for the 2nd round of counselling will be displayed on the same day at 5:00 pm. Applicants who are eligible to participate in this round have to report at the reporting centre between July to accept/ withdraw their respective seats.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 3

  • Applicants can check the result of seat allocation for the 3rd round of JEE Main 2018 counselling in July. The seat acceptance/ withdrawal formalities for the eligible applicants will be carried out from July, 2018.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 4

  • After the completion of the 3rd round of JEE Main counselling 2018, the number of seats filled/available have been displayed online on July 13 along with the result of seat allocation for the 4th round. The seat acceptance/withdrawal formalities for the eligible applicants were carried out in July, 2018.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 5

  • JoSAA has displayed the number of seats filled and the availability status along with the result of seat allocation for the 5th round of counselling of JEE Main in July, 2018. Reporting of applicants at the reporting centre for seat acceptance/withdrawal for the 5th round is held in July, 2018

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 6

  • The total number of filled and vacant seats after the 5th round of counselling was displayed online in July, 2018. Acceptance/withdrawal of seats by eligible applicants for JEE Main counselling round 6 was held on July.

JEE Main Counselling 2018 – Round 7

  • The number of seat filled/availability status and the seat allocation result for the last round of JEE Main counselling has been displayed in July, 2018. Applicants have to report on July 22 at the reporting centre for acceptance of seats. There will be no withdrawal of seats in this round.

JEE Main Counselling 2018- Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee

After every round of seat allotment, applicants who have been allotted a seat have to remit seat acceptance fee through e- challan or SBI Net Banking. The category wise seat acceptance fee can be checked from the table below:

Reporting at the Allotted Institute

After each round of JEE Main 2018 counselling, it is mandatory for applicants to report at the allotted institute in person. Applicants have to complete all the admission formalities of the institute, get the admission confirmed and begin the academic session. The commencement of classes in the IIITs, NITs and GFTIs will be announced in due course of time.

Supernumerary Seats for specific Union Territories:

Supernumerary seats for the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, and Lakshadweep islands will be in the NITs shown below:

Andaman and Nicobar Islands NIT Durgapur
Lakshadweep NIT Calicut
Daman and Diu NIT Surat
Dadra and Nagar Haveli NIT Surat

There will be a separate round of seat allocation for these Union Territories and the states of North East (namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura) after the joint seat allocation and seat acceptance under JoSAA. Seat allotment on such seats will be conducted through a Centralized Seat Allotment Board for North Eastern States and Union Territories (CSAB NEUT).
