CUCET Application Form 2017, Exam Dates, Eligibility and Syllabus

CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is a national level entrance test that is organized jointly by the 8 central universities together. The 8 universities are: Central University of Punjab, Kashmir, Karnataka, Jammu, Kerala, Haryana, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. This test is organized for admission into the Under Graduate, Post Graduate Programme and Research Programme in various professional and educational field respectively in these 8 Central Universities. CUCET 2017 exam commenced once in a year i.e. in month of June. In this article, we are providing all information related to CUCET Application Form 2017, Exam Dates, Eligibility and Syllabus, etc.

CUCET Application Form 2017 Exam Dates

Here we provide exam schedule (tentative) and will be updated after the official announcement released:

Application form for CUCET 2017 will be available only via online mode from the official website.CUCET Application Form 2017

  • There is no provision for offline application form.
  • Application Formfor CUCET 2017 will be obtainable from the 1st week of April 2017 (tentative).
  • Last Date of Online Submission of application form is 1st week of May 2017 (tentative).
  • Applicants can pay their application fee via online or offline mode.
  • After the submission of the application form via online mode with online payment an automated SMS and e-mail will be sent to the applicant mobile number and e-maid ID.
  • Applicants those who made fee payment via Challan have to wait for 7 days after submission of the application form.
  • Applicants can apply for a particular/specific course for a maximum of the 3 Participating Universities (PUs) along with a maximum of 3 options of programmes in each of the selected PU.

CUCET Application Form 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Here, we are giving all the eligibility norms/criteria to appear CUCET 2017 exam. Every single universities has it’s different eligibility norms/criteria for their different courses. Applicants appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for CUCET 2017.

CUCET 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Papers: Question paper will contains 2 parts i.e. PART A and PART B.
  • of Questions: Question paper will contain total 100 MCQs (multiple choice questions).
    • PART A will be contain 25 questions.
    • PART B will be contain 75 MCQs questions and divided into 5 sections.
    • Each section will contain 25 questions of each.
    • There is a provision that an applicant will require to answer any 3 section of the set (i.e. 75 questions).
    • For Integrated Courses/ LLB/LLM/MBA/MCA or any other general courses, only 1 paper will be organized which will contain total 100 MCQ’s.
  • Language: Question paper will be printed in English language only.
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • Negative Of marking: NO negative of marking provision for this exam.

CUCET Syllabus

CUCET 2017 syllabus is different for every courses. The syllabus of Post Graduate courses will be separate for their prescribed/suggested courses.

Syllabus for UGO 1:

  • This paper will contain of two parts: PART A and PART B.
  • PART A contains of general awareness, Language, analytical skills topics and mathematical aptitude.
  • PART B comprises from the topics as follows Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

Syllabus for UGO 2:

  • The syllabus will be comprising from the topics of the following disciplines: Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, English, Reasoning, Analytical Skills, General Knowledge and General Aptitude.

Syllabus for Ph.D./M.Phil. Research Programme:

The syllabus of Ph.D./M.Phil. Research Programme will be contain as that prescribed for the UGC-CSIR exam/others NET-JRF Exam.

CUCET 2017 Admit Card

All Applicants can download their admit card from the official website. Admit Card for CUCET 2017 will be released on 3rd week of May 2017 (tentative). The admit card will be contains details like applicant roll number, applicant name, exam date, and exam venue, etc.

CUCET 2017 Result

Results for CUCET 2017 will be published in the 3rd week of June 2017 (tentative). Applicants can download their CUCET 2017 Result from the official website. On the basis of applicant’s performance, merit list will be prepared. After merit list published all successful applicant need to attend the counseling procedure for seat allotment process.

CUCET 2017 Counselling

After the result declaration, the counseling procedure will be begins. Counselling process for CUCET 2017 will consist of online allotment/allocation of seats and certificate/document verification. Counselling will be organized only for the selected applicants. The seat will be allotted on the basis of the applicant’s marks/rank/performance and availability of seats for the desired course.

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree
  • 10th/12thmark sheets and Passing Certificate
  • Original ID Proof
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • CUCET 2017 Admit Card
  • Qualified National Level Exam Score Card (if applicable)

CUCET Admission Procedure

Admission will be handled/managed at the level of each of these eight central universities, for their particular courses. After the result announcement, the respective/particular central universities will declare the schedule of admission/counseling and merit list on the basis of CUCET 2017 score.

Admission Procedure for Ph.D. and M.Phil. Programme:

The admission process includes the interview and the written test that will carry weightage of 40% and 60% respectively. Applicants, those qualify JRF/NET/SLET/Teacher Fellowship will be exempted/excused from the written test. In this case, interview will contain 100% weightage. Only selected applicants will be called for the interview.

Note: Applicants those who seeking for admission in M.Phil. Programmes and appear in CUCET 2017 will not be considered in ‘Exemption/Exception Category’ and in such case, interview will contain a weightage of only 40% of marks.
