CTET 2018 Application – Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must satisfy prescribed eligibility criteria before apply for CTET 2018. The important CTET eligibility conditions are as follows:

For Classes I-V (Primary Stage)

Candidates fulfilling any of the following conditions may eligible to apply CTET 2018.
  • Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with not less than 50% marks and passed or pursuing in last year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR,
  • Completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with not less than 45% marks and passed or pursuing in last year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE regulations 2002. OR,
  • Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) examination with minimum of 50% marks and qualified or pursuing in last year of four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR,
  • Passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) examination with not less than 50% marks and completed or pursuing in final year of Diploma in Education (two years duration) OR,
  • Completed Graduation and cleared or pursuing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (two year).

For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)

Following categories of applicants are eligible to apply:
  • Completed Graduation and cleared or pursuing in final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (2-year). OR,
  • Completed Graduation with not less than 50% marks and cleared or pursuing in Bachelor in Education (1-year duration). OR,
  • Completed Graduation with minimum of 45% marks and cleared or pursuing in Bachelor in Education (1-year duration) as per the NCTE rules and Regulations released from time to time in this regard. OR,
  • Completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks and cleared or pursuing in last year of Bachelor in Elementary Education (4- year duration). OR,
  • Completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks and cleared or pursuing in final year of B.Sc.Ed/ B.A or B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed (4- year duration). OR,
  • Completed Graduation with not less than 50% marks and cleared or pursuing in B.Ed. (1-year)

CTET 2018 – Application Form and Fees

  • Remittance through E-Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in CTET
  • Fee can be submitted in the Exam Fee Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank.
  • Fee also can be submitted by Debit/Credit Card.

How to Apply CTET 2018 – Instructions:

To apply the CTET FEB 2018, some instructions is given here, you all read it carefully:

  • Visit the CTET official website.
  • Click on the Button which contain “Apply for CTET – FEB 2018”.
  • If you have already registered with CTET, then kindly login with your registration number. In Case, any
  • Applicants have lost their Registration Number or so click on forget No. link.
  • If anyone don’t have registration no, so click Button to Proceed to Apply Online.
  • Now Instruction page will be displayed. Read the instruction or take a printout of it to get help before CTET 2018 online application form filling.
  • Fill Online Application form of CBSE, C-TET 2018. Fill required details will accurate/correct details.-
  • After filling all information correctly, click to next step and Upload your image and signature.
  • Last step to pay CTET application fee by DD/Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking/ E-Banking.
  • Now Take print out of the confirmation page and send it to CBSE authority.
  • Applicants can send their online application fee by Demand Draft. Applicants who are interested to apply for
  • CTET application has signed on the validation page and paste their latest passport size image, Applicants have attached Demand Draft.
  • After the completion succeed of the validation page along with Demand Draft, have to send via registered post or Speed post and send it to the prescribed address.

Application fees 

  • Candidates those who belong General/OBC category need to pay application fees i.e. Rs.600 for 1 paper and Rs.1000 for both papers.
  • Candidates those who belong SC/ST category need to pay application fees i.e. Rs.300 One paper and Rs.500 for both papers.

 CTET 2018 – Exam pattern

  • Question type: MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • Total No. of Questions: Paper I consist of 150 MCQ’s, similarly Paper II also consist of 150 MCQ’s.
  • Paper I: Is conducted for those candidates who desired to become a teacher for class I to class V.
  • Paper II: Is conducted for those candidates who desired to become a teacher for class VI to class VIII.
  • Duration: 21/hours (i.e. 150 minutes).
  • Marking Scheme: On each and every right answer candidates will be rewarded with 1 mark.
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking for this exam.
  • Language Medium: English and Hindi.
  • Minimum Qualifying marks: 60% of marks or even more.

CTET Application: Result

The CTET Result 2018 will be announced most probably in the month of April 2018. Candidates who successfully appeared in CTET 2018 exam will able to check their result online through official website. Candidates who achieved minimum qualifying marks will further invited to appear in the interview round.

CTET 2018 – Validity Period of Certificate

  • For all categories, the Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be 7 years from the date of declaration of its result.
  • On the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate, there is no restriction.
  • A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.
  • By paying the prescribed fee by way of Demand Draft a candidate can get a duplicate copy of Marks Statement or Eligibility Certificate.
  • DD will be in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.
  • On CTET official website i.e. ctet.nic.in, the format for applying for duplicate marks statement/certificate is available.
