CTET 2017: Application form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, syllabus

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2017 is an all India level entrance exam conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) every year for those applicants who are interested/desired to join Central Government Schools such as KVS/ Tibetan School/ NVS etc. as a Teacher/faculty.

CTET February 2017 application form is expected to be started in the month of February and Examination is also going to be held in the month of February. In this article we provide you all information related to CTET 2017: Application form, Exam Dates, Eligibility, syllabus, Exam Pattern etc.

CTET 2017 Latest Updates 

CTET 2017 is likely to be held in the month of March or April 2017, application form for CTET 2017 is going to be released soon.

 Eligibility Criteria for CTET 2017 Application:-

 For Paper I

  • Before applying for CTET 2017 all applicants are needed to complete their 10+2 (12th) along with Diploma in Elementary Education with a duration of two years by securing up to 50% of marks (for unreserved category applicants) whereas applicants belong to Reserved category need to secure 40% of marks for the same.

 For Paper II

  • Before applying for CTET 2017 Paper II all applicants must having a Graduation degree from any stream from a well-known university/college by securing minimum 50% of marks (for unreserved category applicants) whereas applicants belong to Reserved category need to secure 40% of marks for the same.
  • Appearing applicants (i.e. applicants those who appear in Final year exam of the same) are also eligible to apply CTET 2017.

 How to Apply CTET 2017 Application form:

  • Firstly app applicants need to visit official website of the CTET (i.e. ctet.nic.in).
  • When you are on official website you need to click on CTET 2017 February application form and then start filling your application form.
  • All applicants are required to fill their application form correctly and submit their application form before the last date of form submission along with the application fee.
  • All your information on the application form should be correct/genuine otherwise your application form will be rejected.
  • After that applicants need to pay their application fees via online or offline mode. Both mode of payment are available for CTET 2017 exam.
  • At last app applicants are required to take a hard-copy (Printout) of their application form for further reference.

 Application fees: 

  • Applicants those who belong General/OBC category need to pay application fees i.e. Rs.600 for 1 paper and Rs.1000 for both papers.
  • Applicants those who belong SC/ST category need to pay application fees i.e. Rs.300 1 paper and Rs.500 for both papers.

 Syllabus 

CTET 2017 exam paper mainly cover Topics like:

  • Maths and Environmental Studies will be asked in Paper I.
  • Child Development & Pedagogy,
  • Language I
  • Language II
  • Topics like Language I, Language II, Maths and Reaming Science will be asked in Paper II, Child Development & Pedagogy.

 Exam pattern 

  • Question type: MCQ’s (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • of Questions: Paper I consist of 150 MCQ’s, similarly Paper II also consist of 150 MCQ’s.
  • Paper I: Is conducted for those applicants who desired to become a teacher for class I to class V.
  • Paper II: Is conducted for those applicants who desired to become a teacher for class VI to class VIII.
  • Duration: 21/hours (i.e. 150 minutes).
  • Marking Scheme: On each and every right answer applicants will be rewarded with 1 mark.
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking for this exam.
  • Language Medium: English and Hindi.
  • Minimum Qualifying marks: 60% of marks or even more.
