Bihar PGMAT (Bihar Post Graduate Medical Admission test) 2017 is the PG level entrance exam of Bihar state. It is a state level entrance exam monitored by the BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board) for giving admission to the medical courses like MS/ MD/PGD, MDS & MD (Ayurveda). Applicants can get admission to the dental & medical colleges of Bihar on the basis of the rank/marks obtained in the Bihar PGMAT. Bihar PGMAT 2017 Exam Dates

Official dates are not been announced by BCECEB yet. Here, we provide tentative exam dates for the reference only:

Bihar PGMAT 2017 Application Form

Bihar PGMAT 2017 online registration start from the 31st of March, 2017 (tentatively). Applicants can download the prospectus for the same from the official website of the authority. Prospectus holds the overall description about the entrance exam and assist the applicants in filling the application form. After registration, the login IDs will be provided to the applicants via SMS/Email by which applicants can access his/her account and continue towards the further application procedure. All the applicants are guided to preserve their application/registration number safely for future reference. Applicants need to submit their application fee of Rs 1300/-.

Mode of Payment

There are 2 modes of payment:

  • Online Payment– The online payment can be done via Debit Card / Credit Card /Net Banking. Service tax and Transaction processing fee will charged extra from the applicants along with the application fee.
  • Via Bank Challan– The applicants choosing this option are required to visit the canara bank along with bank challan and deposit the required fee in any branch of canara bank. Bank charge of Rs. 50 will be charged from the applicants.

After filling the application form successfully, applicants need to take the printout of the filled-in application form in the format of Part-A and Part-B and enfolded it with the prescribed documents. The printout of the filled-in application form along with attachments and bank challan should be reached by registered/speed post to the below given address:

Bihar PGMAT Eligibility Criteria

Here we provide eligibility criteria for Bihar PGMAT 2017 is declared course-wise. Applicants can check their eligibility for the chosen courses from here:

Eligibility for MDS Course Group:

  • Applicants must complete BDS examination from DCI dental college of Bihar.
  • If any applicant is not a resident of Bihar but have completed his/her BDS examination from the recognized dental college of Bihar then he/she is eligible to apply for this exam.
  • Applicant must an Indian citizen and the permanent resident of Bihar.
  • No upper age limitation for the applicants for PGMAT exam.
  • The applicant want to apply for MDS programme via PGMAT should have completed the rotating internship from DCI approved institution.

Eligibility for MS/ MD/PG Diploma Courses Group:

  • Applicants must completed MBBS examination from MCI recognized medical college of Bihar.
  • Applicants must be the permanent resident of India and must be Bihar domiciled.
  • Applicants those who are not a domiciled of Bihar but have completed the MBBS examination from the well-known medical college of Bihar then he/she is eligible to apply.
  • It is essential for the applicants to complete the rotating internship before interview/ counseling then only he/she can apply for Bihar PGMAT 2017.
  • There is no maximum age limit for appearing in PGMAT.

Eligibility for MD (Ayurveda) Course Group:

  • Minimum educational qualification of BAMS from the CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine) well-known institute is required to be eligible for applying.
  • The applicant must completed his/her rotating internship of minimum 1 year from the CCIM (Central Council of Indian Medicine) registered teaching hospital.
  • There is no maximum age limit for appearing in the exam.
  • Applicant must have a domicile certificate of Bihar.
  • Applicants those who have completed his/her bachelor’s degree in BAMS from the well-known ayurvedic college of Bihar but he/she is not the Bihar domiciled then he/she is also eligible to appear the entrance test.

Bihar PGMAT 2017 Exam Pattern

Entrance exam is conducted via offline mode (i.e. using pen and paper). It is the single paper comprising questions in 2 portions, i.e. Portion – I and Portion – II. The examination pattern for every course group is given below:

For MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses Group:

Exam duration will be 3 hours 15 minutes. Portion – I cover/contain the questions from Pre/Para-clinical subjects whereas Portion – II containing the questions from clinical subjects. There is a set of total 100 questions in Portion – I and whereas Portion – II contain total 150 questions. The question paper will be organized from the MBBS syllabus and covers all subjects of MBBS course. The question paper will be printed in English only.

Marking Scheme:

For each and every right answer, 4 marks will be rewarded to the applicants whereas for every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted for the same. If any applicants mark more than 1 answer for the same question then 1 mark will be deducted.

Bihar PGMAT Admit Card 2017

Admit card for Bihar PGMAT 2017 will be issued to the applicants via online mode. Applicants are required to visit the official website of authority to download their admit card. Board released the Bihar PGMAT 2017 Admit card in the 3rd week of March, 2017 (tentatively).

Bihar PGMAT 2017 Result & Merit List

Applicants can check their Bihar PGMAT 2017 Result via official website of the authority. After the result get declared, then merit list will be prepared on the basis of applicant’s marks in entrance exam. All shortlisted applicants will be called further for counselling/interview round.

Bihar PGMAT Counselling

Applicants those who scored well in the competitive entrance exam will be invited for counselling procedure. Seat allotment will be done on the basis of applicant merit and the choices filled by them for colleges & branch. Applicants are informed about the counselling schedule via the official website of authority.
