Assam Combined Entrance Examination commonly known as the Assam CEE will be conducted by the university of Assam i.e. Dibrugarh University. The applicants who want to go in for/pursue medical and engineering courses (B.Tech, BUMS & BAMS) from govt. as well as private institutions of Assam can apply for this entrance exam. This exam is held in the month of May, tentatively. Total 1700 applicants are admitted to the engineering and medical colleges of Assam through Assam Combined Entrance Examination. Assam CEE Application Form

  • Those Applicants who are eligible can fill the Assam CEE 2017 application form in the month of March 2017.
  • Notice that having all the information about application formis assumed to be released in the month of March, 2017.
  • The applicants are notified to keep their all documents ready that will be necessary and needed while filling the application form.
  • Application form will be filled via online mode.
  • And before applying for the exam applicants need to Read all the instructions carefully mentioned in the information brochure catalogue
  • Applications form received after last date will be instantly rejected.

Application Fee

Details related to application fee is stated below:

  • For BDS/MBBS/ BAMS Courses only – Rs. 1140/-
  • For B.E./B.Tech – Rs. 1140/-
  • For Both BDS/MBBS/ BAMS and B.E /B.Tech– Rs. 1440/-

Application fee payment can be done through bank challan made after the online submission of application form. The applicants are required to deposit the given amount at any branch of SBI (State Bank of India). Additional bank charge of Rs 60/- will be charged from the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who are meeting all the eligibility criteria including educational qualification as given by the University are eligible to apply for Assam CEE. The eligibility needed to be fulfilled are as follows:


  • Candidate must be resident of India and having a domicile of Assam.
  • It is necessary for the applicants to spent minimum period of 20 years in the Assam state then only he/she is eligible for Assam CEE 2017.
  • Above stated condition is not applicable/ valid for the applicants who are the sons/daughter of officers of All India services working in the state of Assam.
  • All the applicants including officer’s sons/daughter of All India services are needed to complete their educations from 7th to 12th from any of the Assam institute.
  • The applicants whose father/mother is transferred outside Assam and working as a state government employee and due to which applicant completed his/her studies from 7th class onward outside Assam then such applicants will get the relaxation in the period according to his/her father/mother is transferred outside.

Qualifying Examination:

  • Applicants must complete their education along with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in their qualifying examination and without grace marks.
  • Applicants belong to GEN/Open category need to secure minimum 60% of marks in PCB whereas applicants belong to SC/ST (P)/ST (H)/OBC/MOBC category need to secure minimum 50% of marks.
  • The applicant’s age must be in between 17 to 24 yearson or before the 31st December of the year of admission. And applicants belong to SC/ST (P)/ST (H)/OBC/MOBC category will get a 3 years age relaxation.

Assam CEE Exam Pattern

The format in which the Assam CEE 2017 question paper will be designed is mentioned here:

  • Courses:Admissions will be gave/offered in engineering courses.
  • Subjects:Question will be come mostly from the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics Subjects.
  • & Type of Question:The question paper contains total 100 MCQ type questions.
  • Marking Scheme:For each correct answer applicants rewarded with one marks.
  • Duration:For each paper 2 hour duration is given.
  • Negative Marking:No negative marking for incorrect answers.

Assam CEE Admit Card 2017

The applicants can download their admit card from the official website of the University. Assam CEE 2017 admit card will be issued by the University in the 1st week of May, 2017. To download the admit card, the applicants needed to enter his/her application form number in the given space.

Assam CEE result 2017

The University announces the Assam CEE 2017 result in the 2nd week of June, 2017. The result will be out/declared on the official website. Applicants who qualified the examination will call for further counselling and seat allotment procedure.


Through counselling round seat will be allotted. The applicants who have qualified the entrance exam are required to take part in the counselling for filling the choices for the courses and branch. The seats are allotted as per the applicant’s rank/merit in the entrance exam.
