Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a national level exam operated by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to give admission to eligible candidates in several full time courses in medical, dental, engineering, architecture etc. Those candidates who are interested in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2018 would check detail notification about KCET 2018 before application procedure get started.

 Application form :

Candidates can apply online for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2018 from official website. As there is no other mode available for KCET 2017 application form as any other mode of application submission except online should not be accepted. Application forms will available online from first week of January, 2018. Candidates have to fill all the details as needed in the application form along with scanned photograph, signature and left thumb impress. Applicants belong to General or OBC category need to pay Rs. 650/- as application fee whereas Applicants belong to SC or ST category need to pay Rs. 500/- for the same. And application fee will be paid through online mode by using bank challan. Candidates are advised to keep the hard-copy (print-out) of their application form for further use/reference.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have complete their 12th or alike exam with Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects and English also.
  • Applicants belong to general categories must need to grab at least 50% of marks in PCB (physics chemistry biology) group for and for reserved category marking criteria is 40% of marks.
  • Applicants who are appearing in qualifying exam are also authorized to apply for KCET 2018.

Examination Pattern

  • Exam Mode: Examination will be conducted in offline mode.
  • Questions number & Type: There will be total 60 questions of MCQ type in the examination.
  • Mode of Answer: The applicants have to use only blue or black ball point pen to marks their answers.
  • Marking Scheme: The applicants will get 1 mark for each correct answer and there is no penalty for wrong answers.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking scheme in KCET 2017 exam paper.

Examination Syllabus:

Exam syllabus will be based on first and second PUC specified by the department of PUE (Pre-University Education) of Karnataka.  Syllabus for architecture and engineering included/consist subjects like chemistry, physics, and mathematics and syllabus for pharmacy candidates contain subjects like chemistry, physics and biology.
