KCET 2017  Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, pattern, Syllabus: KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) 2017 is earlier known as Karnataka CET (K CET/Kar CET). It is operated by KEA CET (Karnataka Examination Authority) under the sponsorship or we can under the guidance of Karnataka University. Karnataka CET is a national level entrance exam systematized for providing admission in several full-time courses in the field of pharmacy, engineering& architecture offered by several universities and institutes located in Karnataka. Karnataka Common Entrance Test exam dates has been released officially. The online application starts from the month of January. KCET 2017 Application Form

Application form for KCET 2017 will be available on the official site. Applicants need to fill and submit the Karnataka Common Entrance Test Application Form via online mode from the official website. As there is no other mode available for KCET 2017 application form. Application form will be published from the January, 2017 first week.  Applicants will be required to upload the scanned photograph, signature & left thumb impression in recommended format.

Application Fee:

Applicants belong to General or OBC category need to pay Rs. 650/- as application fee whereas Applicants belong to SC or ST category need to pay Rs. 500/- for the same. The fee payment will be made through the online mode by using specified Bank challan. Applicants are notified to take hard copy (printouts) of the application after filling and submit the form successfully for upcoming future use.

KCET Eligibility Criteria:

For Engineering or Architecture Courses:

  • Pass in 2nd Pre-university course /12th or alike exam with Mathematics & Physics as a main subjects and English also.
  • Applicants must grab at least 45% of marks in Mathematics & Physics along with one of the following subjects Bio-Technology/Electronics /Biology/ Chemistry /Computer for general applicants and for reserved category marking criteria is 40% of marks.
  • Applicants who are appearing in qualifying exam are also authorized to apply for the exam.

For Pharmacy/Science Courses:

  • Applicants should have completed their 12th/2nd PUC or alike exam with chemistry, biology, physics, and English as a language subject.
  • Applicants belong to general categories must need to grab at least 50% of marks in PCB (physics chemistry biology)group for and for reserved category marking criteria is 40% of marks.
  • Applicants who are appearing in qualifying exam are also authorized to apply for the exam.

KCET Exam Pattern:

Exam pattern for KCET 2017 is described below:

  • Exam Mode:Exam will be operated via offline method i.e. using pen and paper.
  • Type of Questions:There will be MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type questions.
  • of Questions:Every portion (Section) contain total 60 questions.
  • Answer Mode:To mark their answers Applicants will be requisite or needed to use only blue or black ball point pen.
  • Marking Scheme:Applicant will be rewarded by 1 marks for every right answer.
  • Negative Marking: And there is no negative marking scheme in KCET 2017 exam paper.

KCET 2017 Admit Card

Those Applicants who will completely register themselves for the exam will able to download their admit card from the official website.  Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) will be issued in the month of April, 2017 third week. Admit card contain details like applicants name, roll number, exam date, timing and exam center, etc.

KCET Result 2017

Result will be announced by the KEA in the May, 2017 last week. Applicants can check their result from official website. Applicants need to enter their registration number on the official site to view their results. KCET Counselling/Admission

Counselling for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2017 will begin from the 2nd week of June, 2017. Applicants will invited for counselling procedure according to their performance in the exam. Applicants will have to report for the document verification with the original documents as per the schedule announced by the authority. Seat allotment will be done based on the ranks grab by the applicants, filled choices and obtain ability (availability) of seats. If the applicant will not be satisfied with the seat allocation, then they are free to participate in other counselling rounds.
