GPAT 2017: GPAT stands for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test conducted by All India Council Technical Education (AICTE) it’s a national level entrance exam conducted each and every year as per MHRD (Minister of Human Resource Development), Government of India. This test simply evaluates candidates for admission of Pharmacy graduates into the Masters (M.Pharm) programs. The result or score are also used to figure out that which student is suitable for scholarship and for other financial support. The GPAT is a three-hour single session computer based online test.

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT 2017: AICTE  mentions the eligibility criteria of GPAT-2017 for admission  M.Pharm programs at various pharmacy institutes in all over India. Applicant must be Indian means citizen of India. Applicant must be Bachelor’s degree holder in Pharmacy (10+2+4 pattern) from any university. Those Candidates  who are in final year of B.Pharmcy  also eligible and  apply for the same. Candidate with side entry (lateral entry) also eligible to apply. Age Criteria: As per AICTE there is no age restriction for candidates.

How to apply For GPAT 2017

The whole process is Divided into 3 steps are:

Step 1: Self Notarization (Registration): The candidate must register them first from the official website. During Registration Candidate have to fill all the necessary information and while filling the information candidate must cross check the information that he/she fills because if one have filled the information and click the submit button then you can’t able to change it and then submit it.  After you submit the information your Login ID and Password will be generated and it would be of 5 to 6 digits. 

Step 2: GPAT Application Fee: Fees structure is totally based on Candidate’s category means if a candidate belongs to General or OBC Category then he/she need to pay Rs. 1400+ bank charges applicable or if a candidate belongs to Reserved Category(Female SC/ST/PWD Candidates) he/she need to pay Rs. 700+ bank charges applicable for the  same process. Candidate can also pay a fee online by using Debit card, Credit card or using net banking or using SBI Bank Chalan. 

STEP 3: Form Submission: Once you did with your payment then you will need to login by entering your previously Generated Login ID and Password. After you logged in successfully you will see the details and if you see some mistake in it then you will also able to change it. Then after checking you are all your detail properly, you can finally submit the form.

Chosen candidates need to carry their original mark-sheets and certificates at the time of counseling and in the event that they fail to carry their original certificates and original mark-sheets their admission shall be canceled. Downloaded mark-sheets and certificates are not allowed. The counseling method would begin tentatively through the 2nd week of may just 2017. Candidates who are hold score are only eligible to appear for the GPAT counseling session 2017. The seat is allotted to the candidate according to the score he/she has acquired. After that, the candidate can apply for admission to the post graduate courses of pharmacy in any of the institute/University or Colleges.Counselling Process :

Admit Card for GPAT 2017: The exam hall ticket of the candidate shall be to be had on the official website AICTE-GPAT. After the announcement of admit card the candidate in a position to download the card by means of filling up the registration or application number. Candidate can download and take the print out of their admit card. The admit card can be available from 1st week of February 2017 to 3rd week of February 2017. After any availability of admit card, we will update this page.
Note: exam hall ticket might not be sent by using post, candidates are supposed to download the admit card from the official website online only.

Exam Pattern: This examination test could have whole 125 questions for whole 500 marks. For every correct answer, a candidate might be rewarded 4 marks and for each unsuitable answer, a candidate is going to have to lose 1 mark for each. For completing this examination paper, candidates will be provided 180 minutes. The examination paper will probably be in MCQ(Multiple choice questions) format where candidates need to select one answer only. mode of assessment(Exam) Computer-based Test.
